More Tall Ship Trips Scheduled For June!

Ullapool News readers and our Facebook and Twitter friends might remember reading about the Dutch Tall Ship Tecla docked at the harbour a few weeks ago.  Tecla called in to drop off local girl Sara Johnson who had sailed over from Holland as part of the crew. Built in 1915 as a herring lugger the Tecla was refitted and converted to a sail training vessel in 1989 and regularly participates in the Tall Ship races. Tecla sailed from Ullapool to St Kilda before heading to Islay and Rhum on route to Oban. She stopped here a few nights before setting off for St Kilda and enjoyed her time here so much she asked whether she could return during June to carry out sailing trips which we’re delighted to accommodate.

Tecla

Wylde Swan has almost sold out her St Kilda trips later in the summer so the schedule should be of interest to anybody keen to sail on this lovely old herring lugger.  We’ve posted trip details on the Events Calendar on our website.  If you’re interested in any of the trips or require further information please contact info@tecla-sailing.nl    You can see more on their website – www.tecla-sailing.com
