Ullapool Harbour Trustees installed 8 Trot Moorings in July 2009, the moorings are situated 200 metres southeast of the pier and are marked by blue floats running in trots of 4 into the SE.  The east most trots are marked with yellow pickup floats and the more westerly 4 are marked with red pickup floats.  The moorings are charged at £12 per 24hr period or part thereof, visiting vessels are advised to call the harbour office on 01854 612091 to check availability and on arrival shout the watchmen who are available 24/7 on VHF 14/16.   There is a limited sea taxi service available by harbour staff during periods of poor weather using the harbours new workboat which is fully coded to carry 6 passengers. 

Visiting vessels who require to come alongside for fuel, water and provisions can by prior arrangement make use of the new 40metre leisure pontoon situated on the inside face of the pier, there is no charge for this facility.
