Ullapool extends a warm welcome to cruise ships and their passengers; the harbour provides ample deep water anchorage 400metres from the pier for larger ships, and alongside berths for the smaller exploratory vessels. Passengers from are tendered ashore either to the ferry linkspan or to the inside steps, either way the journey ashore is short and well worth the effort when you arrive in the centre of a bustling west coast fishing village. Ullapool has a proud heritage of turning out top class pipers, the local junior pipe band has turned out many a medal winner over the years, some or all of the band will welcome cruise passengers as they step ashore. Locally there are a variety of things to do for the day visitor, ranging from local hill walks for the energetic to award winning cafes, restaurants a museum and a local pottery. For further information on what is available please go to the dedicated excursion pages.
We at the harbour very much look forward to welcoming your ship and sharing the spectacular beauty and relaxed pace of life that Ullapool has to offer.
In 2008 the Ullapool Harbour Trustees revised the harbour due tarrifs and have a one off charge for visiting ships.
