Ferry

As the mainland departure port, Ullapool Harbour is the vital link to the Western Isles, facilitating the daily ro-ro lifeline ferry service – the MV Loch Seaforth – which crosses the Minch to Stornoway.  The timetable varies seasonally but for most of the year, it provides three 24 hour crossings carrying passengers, cars and light commercial vehicles and includes an overnight freight service.  Extra sailings are added during the busiest time of year and during winter there is a very slight decrease in sailings.

Always check the operator’s website for up to date travel information.  Please note separate links to summer (https://calmac.co.uk/stornoway-ullapool-lewis-ferry-temporary-timetable) and winter timetable (https://calmac.co.uk/calmac-winter-timetables).
